At the Classic-Days 2022 in Düsseldorf on August 8th, 2022, the founding members Dr. Hilmar Walde (1st Chairman), Olaf Blanck (2nd Chairman), Thorsten Graalmann (Treasurer), Karl Betz (Statistics and Research Officer), Andreas Mertzbach (Chairman of the previous association of VW 411/412 owners and honorary member), Dr. Aiken Brent Kramer (club editor), Christian Behrenberg (referent organization) and Petra Moswinkel (internet and social media) signed the statutes of the VW411-412 Friends e.V. during the inaugural meeting.
